The phone jack via an RJ11 connector.

Telephone connections all use two son with constant power which varies from one country to another (even if 4 or 8 son are included in the sheath of the cable). The telephones can be connected directly to the network using a socket or through an RJ11 connector.

The telephone wiring in Belgium:

The diagram is against the wall. The voltage is 55 volts DC. When we landed, it drops below 5 V. The colors are usually blue and white (4 thread).
To check the actual number associated with the decision, you can call the phone number 1934. In ISDN, only the master number is given, not the secondary.

The telephone wiring for France (Trundle Wall)

Nesting phone jack Again, only two are used son, 1 and 3, although advises France Telecom wiring 8 son of the phone jack. The voltage is 48 VDC. During a call, the central sends a signal of 75 V AC at 50 Hz (ringing).
Using a DSL connection requires the use of a special filter. In the case of use of an RJ11 wall outlet, you must use a global filter.
A wire too long causes problems when connecting modems (mainly internal), when the connection is established. The first troubleshooting involves detecting the voltage on the plug with a multimeter.
Devices with the CE (modem, telephone, fax) are compatible for all European countries by adapting the signal along the line.
