Pre-wiring for a telephone system

The plots for each of the eight plots taken at the facility are connected by the cable 8 son.

Extending your installation .
Who can install additional outlets?

  • The technical services of France Telecom.
  • A company of your choice.
  • Yourself, from an existing phone jack.

If your installation has at least one outlet, it is possible to change in order to add additional outlets.

If your phone is connected to a rose, you will need for the installation of catch, using the services of France Telecom technical or business qualified phone.

Precautions:

It is recommended prior to any intervention to isolate your installation by disconnecting the two son of the first row of the connector (pins 1 and 3) avoiding they touch. You just put them back in the late work.
Warning:
As an electrical installation, it is dangerous to change your telephone during a storm.

Recognize your installation:
It may be that your installation was carried out according to old standards. The different types of installation you can change are given in the table below.

Wiring phone jacks:
 
TYPE 1:
from a 6-pin socket.
If the plug is fitted with a wire or a strap (wire) between pins 1 and 5, or a capacitor, it must be removed.
 
TYPE 2:

from an existing 8-pin socket.  

TYPE 3:

taken from a 6-pin associated with an extra bell. If the plug is fitted with a wire or a strap (wire) between pins 1 and 5, or a capacitor, it must be removed. It should be taken to conform with the existing wiring diagram-cons.

wiring of the alarm:
Use with a second line.
